Banyan is looking for all skill levels from apprentices to journeyman/woman carpenters to join our team We're a young company that is growing rapidly and looking for great men and women to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ability to work as a team player in challenging settings
- Excellent knowledge of the construction, erection and installation of engineered formwork systems for columns, walls, suspended slabs, slab on grade and stairs
- Erecting and building scaffold for concrete formwork decks
- Stripping and removal of concrete formwork after concrete pours
- Assist in layout and installation of anchor bolts and embedded steel for concrete pours

**Skills**:

- Able to work at heights and balance on platforms, scaffolds and decks
- Able to work alone, or as part of a team
- Display good verbal and written communication skills when working with other employees
- Knowledge of trade-related math and basic survey layout

**Qualifications**:

- Strong understanding of concrete formwork, loose form, and engineered formwork systems (Doka, Peri, Aluma, etc.)
- 4+ years of construction experience, preferred
- Red Seal Journeyman certificate is an asset, or experience in the trade
- General carpentry or formwork experience
- Knowledge of trade-related math, volumes and areas
- Be able to read blueprints and have an understanding of the BC Building Code
- Effective communicator with team members and other subcontractors

**Salary**: $24.70-$43.70 per hour
