Connex Personnel is currently seeking a Logistics Lead in St. John's, NL for a 12 month contract with an upcoming oil and gas project.

Responsibilities include:

- Implements Logistics regional strategy as established by Logistics Manager & technical discipline Center of Excellence (Aviation, Marine, Supply Base & Fuel)
- Drives value through effective prioritization and planning with drilling operations and engineering teams
- Attends daily planning meetings with project team, superintendents & engineering team
- Integrates Logistics with key company interface stakeholders and contractors (Drilling Third party service companies, waste management, crisis continuity management & emergency response)
- Responsible for oversight of the drilling logistics plan to ensure readiness of all cargo and personnel ahead of schedule to meet rig activity set and timeline
- Sets objectives and prioritizes daily activities for local logistics team (onshore & offshore logistics coordinators)
- Conducts physical oversight activities across all disciplines, providing feedback to the Center of Excellence for LMS compliance
- Leads Logistics on Paper workshop to ensure well design and logistics planning are in alignment or identify gaps for follow up to closure
- Drives timely reporting from Logistics contractors
- Analyzes standardized Logistics performance indicators and recommends performance improvement steps to achieve safe, reliable and compliant operations.
- Participates in Integrated Project Planning meetings
- Leads regional readiness activities with use of project readiness checklist & engagement with Center of Excellence teams

Education/Experience

Minimum qualifications:

- 10 years or more in Logistics roles specific to offshore oil and gas operations in Newfoundland
- Demonstrated performance in supply base management, vessel scheduling, cargo management, and aviation coordination
- Proficient in Microsoft excel, PowerPoint, Kabal (Wellit)
- Deep understanding of cargo types and local suppliers specific to offshore drilling and completion operations

First consideration will be given to applicants from Newfoundland.
