**Market Insights Analyst**
Reporting to the Manager of Market Insights the Analyst works in a team environment with the principal objective of synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data into insights on various wood product markets (Lumber, OSB, Plywood etc) to enable strategy development and execution.
**Here’s What You’ll Do**
- Own and manage the maintenance of existing market models, third party research and related visualization dashboards; drive new model development as we expand our portfolio
- Designing and conducting primary and secondary research and analysis to aid in achieving sales & marketing strategic objectives
- Be a key contributor to the development of strategic market and customer insights via commentary, reports and presentations for senior leadership and sales leads
- Work cross functionally amongst sales, marketing, finance, investor relations, and IT groups in creating solutions for improving processes and data/information flows
**Here’s What You’ll Need**
- Post-secondary Certificate/Degree in Market Research, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 2+ years of experience with problem-solving data/trends and summarizing insights that are easily consumable by a wide range of audiences
- Proven success in conducting qualitative and quantitative research as well as analysis and reporting to internal clients
- Curiosity and a desire to work smarter, being open to new ways of working and approaching challenges
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Practical experience with MS Power BI a plus
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
