**Infant and Toddler Educator (ITE) and Early Childhood Educator (ECE)**

Lulu’s Kids Corp in Sidney B.C. is seeking well qualified Infant and Toddler Educators (ITE) and Early Childhood Educators (ECE) to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the learning, development and emotional well being of children within a beautiful, new and purpose built licensed childcare centre.

We are interested in meeting ECEs who are inspired by the principles and practices of the Reggio Approach, excited about working within a newly built and thoughtfully designed space, and want to be a part of a dynamic community full of opportunities for engagement and place-based learning.

**Location: Sidney, BC**

Wage: Estimated monthly salary at **$4050 - $4350 **($27.00-$29/hour in accordance with qualifications. This includes $4.00 per hour Wage Enhancement in conjunction with current provincial government guidelines for ECE/ECE IT educators.

**Hours**:
**F/T Mon to Fri, 37.5 to 40 hrs/wk between 7:30 am and 4:45 pm**

**Requirements**:

- ECE/ITE Certificate, Diploma or Degree;
- Current BC ECE registry certificate of practice;
- Current Standard First Aid and Level “C” CPR;
- Familiarity with the BC Early learning Framework and Code of Ethics
- Clear criminal record check
- Current Immunizations
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work collaboratively
- Positive guidance skills
- An interest in child led curriculum
- An understanding of creating responsive environments for children
- A commitment to inclusive practice
- Sensitivity to relationship and to supporting children’s emotional well being, health and safety
- Professional communicator
- Flexibility to work with different age groups as required
- 12 months or more experience working with children 0-5 years of age is considered an asset

**Duties and responsibilities**:
**Program Practice and Early Education**
- Planning daily child care activities
- Individualized observation and documentation of children's daily activities
- Ensure guidance of children's behaviour that encourages positive self-concept
- Ensure the child's environment is healthy and safe
- Contribute to the ongoing operations of the centre
- Promote the centre within the community

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
