**Responsibilities**:

- Conducting on-site testing and sampling of concrete, granular and asphalt per specifications
- Coring and transportation of material samples to designated laboratories
- Compiling and submission of field reports
- Maintenance and calibration of all instruments and equipment as required
- Reporting to your team leader
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 1 years experience with Construction Quality control/Quality assurance (QC/QA)
- Experienced in field concrete testing and compaction testing and sampling
- College Diploma or Degree in a related field of study including Geotechnical, Geology, Civil;
- Applied knowledge with MTO, OPS, ASTM, and CSA testing methodology and procedures in the field and laboratory
- Familiar with various civil and highway construction;
- Certified under CSA or ACI is an asset;
- Ability to work well under pressure;
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with clients, contractors and co-workers;
- Exceptional organizational skills;
- Excellent ability to communicate with clients and colleagues;
- Willingness to work overtime and some weekend work is necessary during the construction season
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle

**Salary**: TBD (Based on the experience)

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- concrete testing: 1 year (required)
- compaction testing: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (required)
