The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Machine Operator, Labels is responsible for running the bottle labeler related to cannabis beverage production. This requires accurate completion of all associated processes and competent use of equipment.

Schedule: 9:00am-5:30pm (Monday - Friday)

Wage:

- Starting Wage: $22.50
- At 6 Months: $23.50
- At 18 Months: $24.50

As a Machine Operator, Labels you will be responsible for:

- Oversight of downstream production after the filling machines, under the guidance of the Production Manager
- Providing oversight to the bottle packing team comprised of general laborers
- Ensure all packaging materials are on the floor for daily production runs
- Examine materials, or products to ensure conformance to established standards
- Follow and adhere to all given instructions including work procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices
- Strictly adhering to and observing all safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions
- Cleaning equipment and work area between lots and setting up equipment for batches
- Performing general housekeeping of the production area which includes keeping all materials off the floor, returning equipment & materials to proper storage area after each lot
- Working closely with the Production Manager to anticipate, resolve and meet production demands in real time
- Monitoring processes to ensure quality and consistency
- Update all logbooks (production and safety)
- Perform other duties as assigned

As a Machine Operator, Labels you bring:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience with labeling equipment, troubleshooting and operation in a beverage or food manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of experience working with in-line printers, machine configurations, troubleshooting and operations
- Experience with Aesus labelers and Domino and Videojet label printers an asset
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and be able to multi-task production duties
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Mechanically inclined with a mathematical and technical aptitude
- Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
