**Refrigeration & Machine Operator**

Part-time, Permanent

Bolton, ON

BHJ Canada is a leading, global supplier of animal proteins for the pet food industry. We use an extensive international network, real-time market intelligence and efficient quality processes that provide global access to highly valuable meat and fish ingredients. We also produce specialized raw material blends that enhance the palatability and nutritional value of pet food manufactured by our customers. Currently, we are seeking a Refrigeration & Machine Operator for our Bolton location.

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To operate refrigeration equipment and systems.
- To perform routine maintenance.
- To log readings and ensure their accuracy.
- Be able to take prompt corrective actions to rectify operational problems in the Refrigeration system.
- To ensure the refrigeration system is operated safely and efficiently.
- Be able to complete all safety and job-related trainings as required by the company.
- Be able to response promptly to resolve operational problems which can be resulted from fast changing conditions and site demands.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

**Required License & Certification**:

- Refrigeration Operator
- Class B
- Stationary Class 4th Engineer or higher

**Required Experience & Environment and physical requirements**:

- Operating and maintaining Ammonia & Freon refrigeration plant.
- You are able to:_
- Lift up to 23 kg
- Work in a cold environment
- Walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Be able to work overtime as required
- Have basic computer knowledge
- Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
