**ONWA MANDATE**
The Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA) is a not-for-profit organization that empowers and supports Indigenous women and their families in the province of Ontario. ONWA encourages the participation of Indigenous women in the development of Federal, Provincial, Municipal/ Local government policies that impact their lives and ensure issues affecting Indigenous women and their families are heard at key government tables.

**SCOPE**:
The **Social Media & Website Specialist **will provide an active and well-rounded presence online while following the social media strategy and best practices to build and manage ONWA’s social media profiles, website, and presence. They are responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the organization’s social media strategy to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts and promote stakeholder engagement across the province and in all communities ONWA serves.
The **Social Media & Website Specialist** will be responsible for providing stakeholders with comprehensive analytics, data presentations, and resource management reports. They will create appealing and creative digital content for the ONWA’s various social media platforms and generate a social media strategy that will promote community engagement and brand awareness.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, business, or a related field with 3 years of experience
- Diploma in marketing, business, or related with 5 or more years of experience
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture, traditions, ceremony and connecting Community Members to cultural practices that can be used as support.
- Experience working with Wix platform, Adobe Creative Suite, wireframe, mock-up (revamped or brand-new site pages)
- Experience in development and implementation of front-end web code and design standards for writing clean, semantic code.
- Background with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Query
- Domain expertise in UI/UX best practices
- Experience with data-driven SEO analysis/optimization, with an ability to stay up to date with the latest trends and changes with SEO and major search engines.
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and be able to improve performance through management feedback.
- Capacity to solve problems and to see different perspectives.
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to plan, organize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced organization.
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills and an ability to follow through on assigned duties independently with strict deadlines.
- Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Software, internet, and general office equipment.
- Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other stakeholders when necessary.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Reliable vehicle, appropriate vehicle insurance coverage and valid Ontario “G” class driver’s licens
