AlgaeCal is looking for a **Finance Lead** to streamline, standardize, and supercharge our finance team. From month-end close to cross-border compliance, you’ll build scalable systems, strengthen controls, and deliver insights that guide our next phase of growth.

Your resume demonstrates that you’ll easily be able to handle regulatory filings, ensuring audit readiness, and strengthening internal controls — all while treating risk management as strategy, not red tape.

You can translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insight - the kind leadership can actually use. Forecasting isn’t a once-a-year ritual for you, it’s a living, iterative process that blends marketing data, financial drivers, and business insights into agile, decision-ready plans.

**You love technology almost as much as accuracy.**
You’ll evaluate every system in our stack and build a 5-year finance automation roadmap. Whether it’s refining QBO workflows or steering a full ERP rollout, you know how to make systems talk to each other — and to the business.

**You play both the long and short game.**
Your track record proves you’ve mastered the close. Month-end always runs smoothly, year-end never holds any surprises. You’re GREAT at this But you’re also focused on what’s next: strengthening systems, streamlining multi-entity, multi-currency reporting, and ensuring finance scales in step with AlgaeCal’s growth.

**You’ve been around the financial block**
You’ve got a solid foundation in Finance, Accounting, or FP&A (and maybe even a CPA or CFA hanging on your wall, though that’s not a dealbreaker). You’ve spent at least five years steering Finance in fast-paced D2C or eCommerce environments, where multi-entity and multi-currency operations are just another Tuesday. You’re analytical, articulate, and people-savvy. A natural mentor who can lift a team while delivering data that actually drives decisions. And if your background happens to touch digital marketing, supplements, or health and wellness? Even better You’ll fit right in.

**You know how to lift a team.**
You know the difference between delegation and development. You set the vision, share the “why,” and then empower your people to own the “how.” You’re hands-on when needed, but never a bottleneck. You’re the kind of leader who makes everyone around you sharper, faster, and more confident. Whether it’s mentoring junior accountants or partnering with senior leaders, you bring out the best in others while keeping the numbers (and the morale) on track.
