**Key Responsibilities**:

- Preparation of meals according to the posted menu ensuring that all standards are met.
- Overseeing and assisting with the serving of meals to residents ensuring resident food preferences are respected.
- Ensure that all dietary functions are performed in a clean, sanitary manner.
- Assist the Food and Nutrition Manager in control of food costs, waste, and ordering.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new dietary staff.
- Inspect for food supplies and determine what quantities of food should be reordered, communicating to the Food and Nutrition Manager.
- Ensure all MOHLTC and Public Health requirements are met.
- Contribute to a home environment for residents that ensures the values of Primacare Living Solutions are maintained and upheld.

**Qualifications**:

- Chef/Cook Certification from a recognized community college, preferably Red Seal
- Experience in a Long-Term Care Home or with seniors preferred
- Police background clearance for vulnerable persons sector (current, within 6 months, and original documents.
- Proof of full immunization against COVID-19, in accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Long-Term Care's _Long-term care home COVID-19 immunization policy._

- Cooperative team player
- Ability to speak, read and write English and to follow oral and written directions
- Understanding and empathy for the needs of seniors
