**Scope and Purpose**:
Wheatland Regional Library is seeking to hire a permanent, part-time Computer Technician.

Internal relationships include working collegially and productively with all Central Services staff.

External relationships include working with branch staff and provincial colleagues.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Set up, maintain and ensure proper function of all computers, software, servers, virtual servers, and network connections across the region
- Maintain IT licensing agreements with vendors
- Under the direction of the Program Manager or Branch Manager, coordinate and participate in patron and staff training programs
- Plan and recommend products and software to meet identified needs
- Responsible for providing technical support for the region
- Assist with maintaining the library’s web presence
- Participate on Provincial Committees as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Required Qualifications**:

- Two year technical certificate in Computer Systems Technology or other relevant education.
- Knowledge of and experience with a broad range of technology including servers, virtual servers, software, licensing, SQL, Microsoft products, Google Workspace, Fortinet, Hyper-V, networking, and devices.
- Proven website development, design and maintenance experience.
- Effective communication and customer service skills; organizational skills; flexibility; ability to meet deadlines
- Experience facilitating training sessions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive throughout the region as required; exemplary driving record
- Ability to lift boxes/delivery bins up to 50 pounds
- Bondable
- A current acceptable Criminal Record Check is required

**Pay Grade**: Computer Technician ($29.72 - $34.98 per hour per Collective Agreement).
