**Corporate Paralegal**

Reporting to the General Counsel of the PADM Group of Companies, this position provides support to PADM’s legal and executive teams. The Corporate Paralegal will perform a variety of legal and administrative duties in the area of corporate, commercial and employment law.

Key responsibilities include:

- Provide contract support by reviewing, drafting, and negotiating terms and conditions with internal and/or external customers and suppliers;
- Supporting Human Resources and Management in the preparation of employment and independent service contracts;
- Developing and maintaining internal processes to manage intellectual property portfolio;
- Acting as a liaison between stakeholders, management and suppliers, customers, and partners;
- Acting as a communication lead with external counsel regarding ongoing matters, and as further directed by the General Counsel;
- Overseeing the contract management system and processes, including workflow, including ensuring all contracts are complete, executed, and uploaded into the centralized contract management system;
- Preparing and organizing legal documents or reports;

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years’ experience in a legal/law firm or corporate legal department environment;
- Paralegal diploma or university degree considered an asset but not required;
- Significant relevant experience in assisting and supporting lawyers;
- Thorough understanding of legal terms and conditions and the ability to interpret, modify and negotiate legal terms;
- Ability to exercise sound judgement;
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team;
- Effective interpersonal communication and consulting skills to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization;
- Advanced organizational and time management skills;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Practical experience and theoretical knowledge in contract preparation and process at a regional and global level.
- Proficiency with standard provincial and federal legal/corporate filing systems and processes.
- Proficiency with the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
