Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview**:
- Reporting to the Program Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the provision of secretarial and administrative support to the Manitoba Adolescent Treatment Centre. The incumbent will maintain a line of accountability to their assigned areas in matters relating to the day to day functions of the position. This position provides administrative and secretarial support to a multi-disciplinary team. These functions are undertaken consistent with the Manitoba Adolescent Treatment Centre’s established philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures.
- **Experience**:
- Two (2) years secretarial experience in a health/medical related environment.
- Experience with medical transcription as well as medical terminology preferred.
**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:
- Grade 12 or recognized equivalent.
- Formal training in applied office skills is required with an understanding of medical terminology.
**Certification/Licensure/Registration**:
- Not Applicable
- **Qualifications and Skills**:
- Ability to understand somewhat complex situations, determine courses of action and respond in a professional manner.
- Experience maintaining a records management system, including classifying and coding electronic and hard-copy files.
- Word processing (40 wpm) and excellent typing and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Databases and Adobe.
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information using a balanced, unbiased approach to performance of job duties including:
- The ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to maintain accuracy, organize heavy workloads under pressure, and meet deadlines while multi-tasking.
- The ability to follow directions closely and accurately, and the ability to work with initiative.
- The ability to deal effectively with the difficult behaviors sometimes exhibited by people in distress.
- The ability to work independently with mínimal supervision or as part of a team.
