The Trades Maintenance Attendant will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the equipment in the kitchen, laundry, and mechanical rooms for the Fantasyland Hotel.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Performing preventive maintenance on all equipment necessary to operate and maintain the hotel and its guests in a safe and comfortable condition.
- Repairing the following:

- Kitchen appliances and equipment.
- Restaurant or bar appliances and equipment.
- Laundry appliances and equipment.
- HVAC equipment including its controls and auxiliary equipment.
- Domestic hot and cold water, hot water heating and chilled water pumps.
- MUA, exhaust fans, heat register, vertical type fan coil unit including control and auxiliary.
- Knowledge on the hotel’s emergency power and standby equipment including its controls and auxiliary equipment.
- Checking and repairing electrical equipment and accessories to ensure proper working order in guest rooms and other public areas.
- Repairing and maintaining the heating and air conditioning system in guest rooms.
- Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on ice machines in all guest floors including kitchen and public areas.
- Maintaining inventory of spare parts for all equipment needed to do the repairs. To provide required information on replacement or spare parts that is necessary to complete the repairs.
- Other duties as required.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working in a high volume, up-scale hotel in an operation and maintenance-based position.
- Proven knowledge, skills and abilities and proven capability to take charge in challenging situations.
- A high level of professionalism in the workplace.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to multi-task, troubleshoot and able to work under pressure.
- Completion of post-secondary education in the field of industries through a recognized school such as NAIT or equivalent is a definite asset.

**Terms of Employment**:

- This is a full-time position that is required to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, night shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $21.00 per hour
