We are looking for an enthusiastic dog lover to be the Executive Chef of Vin Room Mission. Besides cooking great meals for our guests, this individual will be responsible for creating and executing our house made doggy menu for our four legged pooches at all locations.

You would be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, maintaining food safety protocols, controlling food costs, and collaborating with management to enhance the overall dining experience. The Executive Chef will lead by example, fostering a positive and productive work environment in the kitchen.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Menu Development and Execution**:

- Create, plan, and execute features that reflect the restaurant’s brand and meet guest preferences in conjunction with Vin Room West and the Senior General Manager
- Be responsible for Vin Room’s house made dog menu, pooch pawtio parties, and special events.
- Ensure variety and consistency across all menu items.
- **Kitchen Operations Management**:

- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food is prepared and served to the highest quality standards.
- Maintain kitchen efficiency and ensure that all kitchen stations are properly stocked and organized.
- Manage food production and presentation to guarantee consistency and high quality.
- **Staff Management**:

- Lead, mentor, and manage kitchen staff
- Conduct staff training on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation practices.
- Foster a positive, collaborative environment and motivate the team to achieve performance excellence.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback for improvement.
- **Food Safety and Sanitation**:

- Enforce food safety regulations, health, and sanitation standards, ensuring the kitchen complies with all local and national laws.
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste and prevent contamination.
- **Cost Control and Budgeting**:

- Monitor and control food costs, labor expenses, and inventory management.
- Work with the management team to develop and adhere to budgets.
- Oversee purchasing and inventory to ensure optimal stock levels without over-ordering.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and high quality.
- Respond to guest feedback regarding food quality and adjust recipes or operations as needed.
- **Collaboration with Management**:

- Collaborate with restaurant managers to ensure smooth service operations and coordinate kitchen staffing.
- Contribute to marketing strategies, promotions, and special events to increase sales.
- Ensure that kitchen operations align with the restaurant’s overall goals and vision.
- Works effectively with the West and Mission kitchens and understands that we operate as one team
- **Creative Innovation**:

- Stays up-to-date with industry trends and integrate new culinary techniques, recipes, and concepts.
- Develop seasonal dishes and specials to engage guests and enhance the dining experience.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a senior culinary role.
- Strong culinary skills and in-depth knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques.
- Experience managing a large team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards.
- Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and ensure kitchen efficiency.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and passion for cooking.
- Loves dogs and loves to create menus for our four legged guests during patio season

**Reports to**:

- Senior General Manager, Vin Room West and Mission
