**Welcome to**_**Dog Town Grooming YYC**_._ We are a small quiet grooming studio located in the community of Charleswood in NW Calgary. It is our priority to provide exceptional customer care. Our customers are not just customers but part of the Dog Town Grooming YYC family. We are a drop off/pick up studio that does not kennel.

**STUDIO ASSISTANT**:

- Part time position

At Dog Town Grooming we are a team and we work together.
- You must LOVE dogs and show it This will be a front facing position that will require contact with customers and their family members.
- Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and ability to educate customers with a gentle hand. Your are mature, responsible and independent. You realize that the groom is important but the customer care is equally important.
- Ability to work with others as a team and keep things moving.
- Are able to communicate with the team so you can best support them. Willing to jump in and do what is needed - this will include front end work with customers, bathing dogs, prepping dogs, cleaning the studio, getting things ready for the next dog and more.
- Your availability will be flexible and must be available to work Friday and Saturdays. Our current hours of operation are: Monday 1-8, Tuesday to Saturday 8-4. We are looking for an individual that is available most days that we are open.
- Experience is an asset but fit is indispensable.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist groomers with bathing, drying, and grooming dogs
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations and equipment
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners
- Handle dogs safely and gently during grooming processes
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing client interactions
- Support the team in maintaining a calm environment for pets
- Help with heavy lifting of larger dogs as needed
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance grooming skills
- **Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in customer service is highly preferred
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes comfortably
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Willingness to learn about dog grooming techniques
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Passion for animal care and welfare
- Team player with a positive attitude
