**Validation Technician** in Montreal to join our Life & Safety business segment.

**Essential Duties**:

- Responsible for performing a variety of tasks that validate and ensure quality new software is distributed from the development departments
- Establish and write test plans and test procedures for new software developed prior to being staged to ensure that it meets the specifications
- Design, create and execute automated and/or manual test cases, analyze and document the results
- Perform functional test of the product to identify bugs and nonconformities, providing the results to the appropriate department or function
- Interface with development to determine functional requirements, and ensure those requirements are testable

**Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Canadian Education
- Degree from an accredited college in computer science, or related field required
- Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements
- Canadian requirement: Proficient spoken and written English required

**Experience**:

- Minimum three years experience in software/hardware verification and testing required
- Minimum one year experience in networking (e.g., TCPIP, etc.) required
- Experience with knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, SDP, RTP) is an asset
