Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver at Jack Poole Plaza, the 15 annual Vancouver Christmas Market (VCM) will open its doors to the public from November 13, 2025, to December 24, 2025. Tastefully decorated with its rows of charming wooden huts, Christmas trees and bright Christmas lights, VCM provides the perfect setting to celebrate the holiday with its authentic food, drinks and unique gifts, and has developed a reputation as “Vancouver’s ticket to the holiday season.”

Full-Time Employment Opportunities - Quick Service Attendant
As VCM will once again develop into the focal point of the holiday season in Vancouver, we are looking for customer focused, detail-oriented and multi-tasking self-starters to join our beverage team as Quick Service Attendant. This position requires full-time availability and a commitment of 40 hours per week. The term for employment is from November 8th, 2025, to December 24th, 2025.
Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve traditional VCM beverages at one of our four Beverage Huts
- Customer service in and around VCM’s Beverage Huts
- Utilize POS systems for sales (Knowledge of Square system is an asset)
- Cash handling
- Provide cheerful assistance and to market guests
- Upsell products and suggestive selling
- Re-stocking
- ID checking for liquor service
- Liquor guidelines and rule enforcement
- Product education with confidence and flair
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Selection Criteria
To be considered for a position, you must:
- Possess a valid Serving it Right certificate
- Hawkers experience is an asset (19+)
- Be willing to stand for long periods of time
- Have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Be willing to work in various climates (outdoor event)
- Have an outgoing, energetic, and friendly personality
- Confident public speaking is an asset
- Have excellent customer service, time management and communication skills
- Have dedication and passion for Christmas festivities and events
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Be fluent in written and spoken English
- Must enjoy working in a fun interactive team environment
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: $19.00 per hour
