**Position Overview**

ABC Recycling Ltd. is looking for a Scale Operator to be based out of our Fort St John, B.C. location. This person will be the first line of service for our customers visiting our busy facility and will be responsible for weighing vehicles and processing payments. In addition to the duties related to running our scale house, this person will be responsible for assisting with dispatching our trucking fleet, as well as office administration duties.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Greets customers and record their relevant information for processing in a professional and friendly manner.
- Processes customer payment tickets using various payment methods.
- Prepares paperwork for outbound shipments.
- Communicates to yard staff via two-way radio.
- Answers and directs incoming telephone calls.
- Analyzes service requests from customers to determine the most efficient and effective trucking services.
- Assists in planning, coordinating, and dispatching daily trucking requirements to internal and third-party carriers as required by facilities (and customers) for local and long-haul requirements.
- Tracks and monitors all incoming containers for accurate invoicing.
- Document controls, data entry, and file maintenance.
- Identifies and grades materials.
- Builds and updates spreadsheets as needed.
- Maintains a clean and presentable office environment.
- Performs other general office duties when required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Previous experience using POS systems and/or ERP software
- Proficient using Microsoft Office products
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Positive attitude, customer service orientation, and a want to help people
- Prior administrative experience is an asset
