Elite Fire Protection is looking for a Human Resources generalist to join our growing team. The successful applicant would be responsible for leading all Human Resource activities at Elite Fire Protection Ltd.

**Position Requirements**
- Recruitment and onboarding of new hires.
- Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process.
- Maintaining current HR files and employee data using the HRIS platform
- Coordinate and track all employee training and updated/create new company policies or procedures.
- Track all safety incidences, accidents etc. Some OH&S work such as responding to Worksafe Audits and working on the claim process including return to work plans.
- Attend job sites for inspections, orientations, and Hazard Assessments upon request from customers, management, or as required by contract.
- Participate in JHSC meetings as secretary and track and follow up on all action items.
- Participate in social committee and assist with the planning of company events.
- Complete responses to Requests for Proposals, Request for Qualifications.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Preferred Qualifications & Experience**
- Two - Three years of related experience
- Strong knowledge of applicable employment and health and safety legislation.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to interpret, amend and implement company policies and procedures
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Demonstrated time management skills
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive or private information with tact and discretion
- Valid B.C. Drivers License

**Skills**
- On-site knowledge and experience appropriate to the construction.
- Knowledge and experience with the Workers Compensation Act, WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Policy, WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines, Workers Compensation Board standards
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Adobe, and customer OH&S portals/H&S software such as ComplyWorks, Contractor Compliance, Avetta, Bids&Tenders, Workhub
- Credible knowledge and experience with Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees, WHMIS, and relatable operations inside and outside of the company
- Comfortable speaking to employees
- Personable, multi-tasker, team player
- Possess leadership skills and takes initiative
