**About the Role**:
**Overview**
Located in the heart of Newmarket and directly adjacent to the Newmarket Superior Court, our distinguished law firm is expanding. We are a small firm offering services in Family Law, Wills & Estates, and Real Estate. We are currently a team comprised of five (5) lawyers, and six (6) additional staff members. We have built a reputation based on client services and effective representation in all aspects of our practice, with a client first focus.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be called to the Ontario Bar and be in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Proficiency in Divorcemate and Outlook.
- Knowledge of LEAP would be an asset.
- A professional with strong interpersonal skills and an honest passion for hard work and Family Law.
- Strong attention to detail, an exceptional work ethic, and a good attitude.
- Accomplished written and oral communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ability to run files independently and ensure that all deadlines are met.
- Ability to draft legal documents such as pleadings, Separation Agreements, Case Conference/Settlement Conference materials, Mediation briefs, Affidavits, Motion Materials, Offers to Settle and general correspondence with counsel and clients.
- Ability to communicate with clients in a professional and cordial manner.
- Attend at the Superior Court of Justice before Judges and/or Dispute Resolution Officers on various matters.
- Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of general legal matters related to family law, such as divorces, child custody and access disputes, child and spousal support, equalization and property rights of the client.

Pay: $60,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
