**Overnight Support Worker - Youth Housing Program**

Are you passionate about working with youth (ages 14-17) and helping them discover their pathway towards adulthood? The Youth Housing Program is looking for Transitional Support Workers who are committed to supporting our youth through challenges they may face.

The Youth Support Worker focuses on building relationships with youth through a non-judgmental, harm reduction, trauma-informed, and solution-focused approach. You will play a key role in building a safe and supportive environment for the youth that promotes collaboration while ensuring the needs of the youth are met.

**What you bring to the team**
- You bring 2+ years of working with vulnerable populations (youth experience is an asset).
- You possess a two-year diploma in Child and Youth Care (CYC), Social Work, or a related field.
- You describe yourself as non-judgmental, empathetic, flexible, and able to work with initiative andindependence.
- You are able to connect and inspire trust with youth struggling with addictions, poverty, mentalhealth, and trauma.
- You describe yourself as someone who utilizes a harm reduction, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach.
- You have the ability to travel to different sites as required using a personal vehicle.

- You are great at seeing the potential in youth and understand what it takes to motivate youth tobelieve in themselves.
- You can empower youth as they learn the life skills needed to navigate the transition into adulthood.
- Work hand in hand with youth to plan and prepare nutritious and appealing meals.
- You can create a safe, supportive, clean, and organized home environment for the youth.
- Work in a collaborative partnership setting - making sure that all stakeholders are aware of theprogress and challenges faced by the youth in the program.
- You are calm, collected, and know what to do whether it is a crisis situation or an opportunity toprovide one-on-one support.
