**The Position**
The QA Technician ensures compliance with Health Canada’s Cannabis Regulations, EU GMP standards, and other applicable regulations by monitoring quality, maintaining records, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay up to date with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Conduct in-process quality monitoring and environmental testing.
- Review batch records and approve cannabis products for sale.
- Inspect sanitation programs and verify compliance.
- Investigate deviations and implement corrective/preventative actions.
- Prepare batch samples for lab testing and retention.
- Train staff on SOPs and compliance protocols.
**Qualifications**:
- Must be 19+ years old and have reliable transportation.
- Degree in Science, Quality Assurance Certification, HACCP, or GMP training is an asset.
- QA experience in cannabis, pharmaceuticals, medical, or food production required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must pass RCMP and Health Canada security clearances.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, bend, and climb ladders (12-20 ft).
- Comfortable working weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Exposure to pollen, allergens, chemicals, temperature variations, and industrial environments.
- Extended computer usage and office work required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.50-$22.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
