Overview:
Director of Volunteers & Community Engagement

Permanent Full-time

37.5hrs/wk

Seniors Association Kingston Region

Major functions:

- Develop and execute a volunteer recruitment and retention strategy (including the development of a volunteer appreciation & recognition events).
- Recruitment, screening, selection, training, scheduling, motivation, complaint management, and coordination of volunteers.
- Conduct regular employee training opportunities as well employee recognition events.
- Conduct new member appreciation events and engage expiring members to renew their membership.
- Promote volunteer and membership opportunities to the general public

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary degree in a related field preferred.
- 5 years of working experience in a volunteer coordination capacity.
- Experience with proven fundraising practices.
- Possess a Voluntary Sector Management Certificate or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills and have ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
- 5 years progressively responsible experience with at least 3 years in management.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
