**Job Title**: Corporate Development Analyst (On Site)

**Location**: Head Office - Winnipeg

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Development, the Corporate Development Analyst is responsible for contributing to detailed financial analysis assignments as it relates to both organic growth and M&A opportunities, contributing to formal reports & presentations for senior management, assisting in the budgeting and business planning process, and performing high-level industry and macroeconomic research. The Corporate Development Analyst will work closely with the finance, trading, operations, and logistics teams, and internal and external stakeholders to perform their role. They will bring strong analytical and communication skills, a team-focused mindset, and the interest in working on high impact projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform and assist with detailed financial analyses as it relates to organic growth or M&A opportunities
- Produce and assist with formal written documents relating to corporate development initiatives and projects for use by senior management
- Assist with the business planning process, including leading the maintenance of complex financial models, analyzing and tracking key trends in the industry and business, and participating in corporate initiatives with other senior leaders
- Assist with the due diligence and evaluation of potential acquisitions, large capital projects, and expansion initiatives
- Provide analytical support to other functional teams, such as Treasury, Corporate Reporting, Operations, and Trading
- Prepare and assist with quantitative and qualitative reports on specific investment opportunities or industry trends for senior management
- Conduct industry research to identify key trends/opportunities/risks, and incorporate findings into strategic plans
- Complete special projects at the direction of the Director, Corporate Development and Executive Team

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration, with a major in Finance or Accounting
- One to two years of experience in a financial analysis role, to have included financial modelling, written reports, detailed industry and company research, and working in a team environment (relevant in-school or co-op experience is also acceptable for applicants who are new grads)
- Strong communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
