**Salary**: $ 80,891 - $ 87,411 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**:Permanent
**Hours**: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Mon to Fri (core hours 9am-3pm)
**Location**: Provincial

**Bargaining Unit**:PSAC Local 22000 (Public Service Alliance of Canada)

**About the role**

As Program consultant Mental Health you will manage and coordinate Mental Health programs in assigned program area(s) for First Nations communities and the National Aboriginal Youth Suicide Prevention Strategy (NAYSPS), at a regional provincial and community-based level on behalf of First Nations Organizations (FNOs) and the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA).

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have;
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or clinical psychology, plus minimum three (3) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience in trauma and suicide prevention, as well as a proven background in designing and developing programs specifically for First Nations communities.
- Lived experience with cultural knowledge is essential to provide the necessary insight and depth to support the FNHA Mental Health Emergency Management Team/Department.
- Experience facilitating groups, trauma training, suicide prevention training and coordinating community programs.
- Experience in facilitation and knowledge of provincial youth resources. This position will support the development of the FNHA Life Promotion Strategy and the FNHA Youth Advisory Group

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
