Millstone Heating and Sheetmetal is hiring an experienced Commercial Ventilation/Sheet metal Project Manager.

We are in the north end of Duncan, and are operating out of a new 10,000 square foot shop and offices. Our shop is high production using the latest sheet metal machinery to supply our installation team with custom duct work on various types of commercial/institutional and residential projects.

We tender projects and have crews in Victoria, Duncan, Nanaimo and Courtenay, while servicing north island, Tofino and the gulf islands as well.

Our work space is loose and fast paced, and the work is challenging but rewarding. You will be part of a management team, but never micro managed. You will also have support from our project coordinator that will assist in day to day operations.
- **Your Role with Millstone**_
- You will be primary point of contact for each project assigned to you
- Review submittals for accuracy prior to consultants review
- Review purchase orders for accuracy
- Review IFC drawings against tendered documents
- Establish schedule and manpower needs for duration of project
- Monitor costs posted against each project, ensure the accuracy of invoicing from our sub contractor's invoices
- Provide administration with monthly project progress draw values, review current and projected costs against each project for accurate monthly billing
- Work directly with our foremen assisting with scheduling, manpower and equipment delivery to site
- Issue RFI's and follow through until the conflict is resolved
- Manage Change Orders from pricing to approval
- Manage all site instructions for impacts to the overall mechanical plan
- Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Project Coordinator to allocate workload and support overall operations
- Tendering projects will be done by the Senior PM, occasionally you may cover for vacation times
- **Skillset**_
- 3+ years experience directly managing ventilation projects from $50,000 to $3.5 million in scope
- Stellar interpersonal skills, problem solving and team leadership
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as QuoteSoft software
- Organized, proactive and on time with requests for information
- A complete understanding of the construction process from tender to closeout is a must

**Salary**: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
