**Main Purpose & Function**

This is technical office and field work involving the preparation and maintenance of conceptual plans, working drawings and record drawings for the construction or renovation of a variety of civic buildings and facilities. The work may also involve assisting in staff relocations during and after renovations, and responding to work requests for minor repairs and upgrades to staff work spaces.

**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**

This position will prepare and/or maintain a variety of records, files, reports, specifications and record drawings of all City buildings and related structures; manage data and drawing archives; and prepare architectural renderings, layouts, charts and visual aid material to be used in presentations to management and Council. In addition, the position assembles building and furniture background information for major renovation projects; and performs related work as required.

**Qualifications**

Education and Experience:
Courses in Building Technology, plus sound related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A Police Record Check is a requirement of this position. A clearance requires the absence of any criminal charges or convictions related to this position.

**Drivers License and Record Checks**
- Copy of your three-year ICBC Commercial Driver’s Abstract (N Print) directly from ICBC dated within 30 days of this posting
- Copy of your three-year ICBC Driver’s Claims History directly from ICBC within 30 days of this posting
- If you have less than three years driving experience in BC, a request must be made for out of province/country abstract and claims history
