_Description of the role:_

The Dispatcher will work directly with the Sales Manager, Shipping/Receiving Lead Hand, Truck Drivers and freight carriers to organize and plan daily execution of the freight requirements.
- Responsibilities:_
- Handle sales/shipping documentations for outbound material in an organized manner
- Work with our Shipping and Receiving Team to have materials prepared on time to meet the shipping schedule.
- Responsible for the routing and maximization of local Brown's trucks deliveries in a cost effective manner.
- Schedule freight pick ups with outside carriers for delivery.
- Maintain a shipping/receiving log book for future reference.
- Assist and guide the local delivery team when problems arise at a delivery location or a mechanical problem while enroute.
- Schedule the regular maintenance for Brown’s fleet of vehicles.
- Review timesheets for Truck Drivers.
- Ensure that drivers electronic logs are operational and meet the requirements of the Ministry.
- All other duties as required.
- Qualifications and Skills:_
- Attention to detail and highly effective organization skills
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure and a positive attitude
- Ability to effectively communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers
- Must be computer literate and willing to learn new programs
- Prior Dispatch experience considered an asset (wage based on experience)

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
