We are growing rapidly and we’re looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to grow with us **WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR** We are looking for a Clinical Research Scientist I - Preclinical Discovery - Global to work in our Lab at our Toronto Head Office ,**WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE** - Routine handling of mammalian cell cultures and ex vivo tissue. - Perform cell and tissue-based assays including flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, ELISA, microscopy to assess efficacy of products and active ingredients. to generate data to support function of ingredients. - Assist in writing technical documents such as SOP’s and reports. - Perform organizational and operational tasks such as inventory check, preparing purchase orders and general equipment maintenance. - Flexibility to assist with other functionalities to facilitate meeting project deadlines as needed. - Compile and critically analyze data, prepare reports, and effectively communicate to results to the team and other R&D partners. - Proactively seek consultation with supervisor on non-standard or new technical issues. Expected to provide recommendations or resolve problems of moderate difficulty in their direct project work. - Participate in activities and projects to support overall department/R&D goals, such as continuous improvement projects or lab/site safety with moderate complexity. - Conduct background research for specific research questions from R&D or Clinical perspective. **SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE** - MSc in cell biology, molecular biology or life sciences or BSc with minimum of 1-2 years of laboratory or industry experience in the relevant field is required. - Experience in adherent and suspension mammalian cell culture and cell-based assay development. - Experience in molecular techniques including immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, ELISA, microscopy. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong documentation and organizational skills with attention to detail. **WHAT YOU’LL BE GAINING BY JOINING OUR TEAM** There’s a lot of good stuff that comes along with being a DECIEM team member.
