**Position purpose**:
As a key member of the team managing the pharmacy (PharmD) program at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, contributes to the development and implementation of the program. Supports key program activities including recruitment, admissions, marketing and communication, event management, internship management, continual improvement, program accreditation and management of online platforms. Conducts these activities relying on own logistics, event organization, project management and financial management skills.

**In this role, your responsibilities will include**:

- Promotion and event management: Designs and produces program events, to project a positive image of the Faculty and the University. Forms and chairs event planning committees, determines elements and timelines, and monitors and reports on progress. Develops event budgets and ensures that activities stay within budget limits. Promotes events to target audiences for maximum awareness and participation. Designs and produces promotional material.
- Marketing and communications: Working with the pharmacy program team, develops and implements program marketing strategies based on digital marketing best practices and trends. Develops and implements an annual communications plan that meets communications needs for various internal and external target audiences, contributing to the strategic plan and the section brand.
- Development and management of student internships: Under the leadership of the pharmacy program director, works to establish internship settings around the country and supports smooth running of internships, for a positive experience for both internship supervisors and students. Ensures necessary follow-up for smooth operations.
- Liaison and student recruitment: Working with the pharmacy program and Francophone Affairs teams, develops and implements innovative strategies for the pharmacy program, to stimulate high school and university students’ interest in studying at uOttawa and to achieve program recruitment goals.
- Web content and social media management: Anticipates requirements and produces web content to better meet ongoing business needs, in compliance with web and accessibility standards, official language requirements and established policies. Develops and assesses performance indicators for website traffic and usability, and coordinates improvements for maximum effectiveness of section websites.
- Assistance with digital platforms: Working with the admissions and Faculty IT teams, assists with management of program digital platforms, including those managing student files and supporting professors affiliated with the program.

Essential qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in administration, communication or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Three years’ experience in a similar role or relevant university-based experience
- Bilingualism (spoken and written): proven ability to work in English and French
