**Who we need**:
The Account Manager: Career Services Toronto Film School, is responsible for industry outreach to establish lasting relationships with employers whose career opportunities align with our current and future Toronto Film School (TFS) programs of study. The goal of this position is to establish TFS as an institution of choice for employers’ recruitment needs - leading to our graduates finding meaningful employment upon completing their studies. This position, situated within the Career Services team, is located in Ontario and works in consultation with faculty and staff across programs to learn what constitutes appropriate entry level opportunities and career paths that align with industry trends. Bridging the gap between their studies and the world of work, this role enhances the readiness, marketability, and opportunity for our graduates to find meaningful work. Working with TFS Career Advisors, and counterparts across the institution, this position collaboratively develops institutional and department-specific goals for student development and student placement and leads the industry outreach in the above areas of focus.
This is a hybrid role working some days from home and some days from our Toronto Campus.

**What will you do**:
Establishing Strategic Relationships
- Develop, execute, and manage business development operations and strategic partnerships with a primary focus of establishing lasting relationships with employers across Canada who can offer meaningful employment opportunities for current students, graduates, and alumni of TFS programs.
- Liaise with Career Services, Academic Leadership, and key faculty and staff to align strategies aimed at increasing employment results.
Business Development
- Identify new employer clients by researching and creating networking opportunities.
- Present business or partnership opportunities to company executives and management, strengthen industry partnerships, and negotiate agreements with employer clients.
- Identify and develop new opportunities to connect grads with employers based on industry-driven employment trends.
- In consultation with academic leadership, Career Services, Student Services, and Communications staff, develop and facilitate opportunities/events that connect students with potential employers, internship/practicum sites, volunteer agencies, and other opportunities to gain relevant experience.
Brand Positioning
- Perform competitor analysis toward becoming an institution of choice for employers’ recruitment needs.
- Evaluate and improve sales, marketing, and brand positioning strategies to attract employers to TFS and contribute to TFS student enrolment growth goals.
Metrics
- Collaboratively develop concrete institutional employment targets for all TFS on-campus Film Production, Acting for Film, TV & Theatre, Writing for Film & TV, Video Game Design & Development, Video Game Design & Animation, Graphic Design & Interactive Media.
- Evaluate organizational goals on a quarterly basis.
- Oversee the maintenance of data collection and use CRM software to collect and store data associated with the development of an industry network, and to schedule regular outreach and communication with industry contacts.
- Oversee department budget.
