**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Safety and Compliance Manager for Edmonton the On-Road Safety Supervisor - Cryogenics is accountable for the safety and training of our Cryogenics Drivers in our Edmonton Terminal., to oversee and enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance throughout our operations. Lead safety training programs, conduct audits, and ensure that all drivers and staff adhere to industry safety standards and company policies. Role also involves investigating and addressing safety incidents, implementing corrective actions, and fostering a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.

**Schedule: 40 hours**
**What you will do**
- performing ride a longs and Job Site Observations on 60+ full time drivers
- Conducting one-on-one coaching with drivers during scheduled runs
- Mentor and train drivers on all Cryogenics accounts, equipment, policies & procedures within the company
- Performing pre/post trip inspection and written driver evaluations
- Accurately documenting and addressing training progress and problems
- Safely and efficiently inspect, operate and maintain company and customer issued equipment in accordance with Transport regulations, TSA, company and customer policies and procedures
- This position will involve fieldwork with driver interactions and observations, site visits and assessments, Incident and accident investigations and response
- Conduct hazard / risk assessments
- Practicing, supporting and enforcing safe work procedures including safety and company policies
- Responsible for direct front-line supervision and support to Drivers in regards to compliance with applicable safety policies and regulations
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
- Other duties as required
**What You’ll Bring**
- Valid Class 1, driver’s license and have a clean Commercial Drivers Abstract
- 3 to 5 years of tractor-trailer driving experience and Preventable Accident free for a minimum of three (3) years required
- 2 years’ cryogenics tanker experience an asset
- Able to drive manual transmission vehicles (up to 18 Speed)
- Strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of Cryogenics and Transportation of Dangerous Goods an asset
- CTSC / CTSP designation an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to remain calm under demanding conditions
- Ability to train, evaluate and manage drivers
- Maintain training documentation based on regulations and company policies
- First Aid Certification an asset
