The Regina Open Door Society (RODS) is a non-profit organization that provides settlement and integration services to refugees and immigrants in Regina. RODS is committed to meeting the needs of newcomers by offering programs and services that enable them to achieve their goals and participate fully in the broader community.
We are located in the City of Regina on Treaty 4 land, which is recognized as the traditional territory of the nhiyawak/Cree, Nahkaw/Saulteaux, Anihinpk, Dakota, Lakota, Nakoda, and the homeland of the Mtis Nation.
The Regina Open Door Society Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to staff the full-time permanent position
of Team Leader for the KidsFirst Program. The start date for this position is December 1,2025
**Position Summary**
Program coordination and demonstrated clinical supervisory skills are necessary, as well as extensive knowledge of and experience working with newcomer parents and families (ex. child development and effective parenting considering cultural values). Requires knowledge of community resources, methodologies and experience with in-home services, as well as experience in teamwork, interagency and interdisciplinary approaches. Effective organizational, communication (verbal and written) computer and administrative skills are also essential. Must have the ability to travel and work flexible hours.
**Requirements**:
Education/Certification
- University degree in the human service, humanities or education;
- Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C (not mandatory but an asset).
- Specialized knowledge and skills
- Good knowledge about prenatal care, early childhood and family development and challenges common to high-risk families;
- Solid para professional counseling skills;
- Good knowledge and practice of reflective and strength-based supervision;
- internet;
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in English;
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in bi-lingual or multi-lingual (would be an asset)
- Abilities to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment;
- Broad knowledge of local community resources that can assist newcomer children and families.
**Experience**
- Minimum two years' work experience in direct supervision in a human service delivery environment or
- comparable experiences
- Minimum one year home visiting service with families and their young children (0-5 years old);
- Working with minimum supervision;
- Ability to work in stressful situations.
**Required Licenses and /or Certificates**:
- 2 years valid experienced Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's License;
- Clean criminal record check (includes Vulnerable Sector Search) and must be dated within the last 6 months;
- Clean driver's abstract;
- Access to a reliable vehicle for travel purposes;
- Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C (not mandatory but an asset).

- Collect and report on program activity to Managers as required;
- Conduct monthly program reporting
- Identify potential risks at the program level. Mitigate where possible;
- Establish program and individual accountability standards. Maintain program functions and timelines;
- Meets program informational; timelines and deadlines using RODS technological systems;
- Use expertise, experiences and resources as required to operate programs within operational procedures;
- Operates programs on a day-to-day basis.
