**Spectrum Alberta** is a full-service metal polishing business. We offer mirror and brushed finishing of aluminum, stainless steel, and other metals, specializing in show-quality polishing of big rig trucks, tankers, and trailers. We also work on architectural and various specialty projects like classic car and custom motorcycle parts.

We are hiring up to four new staff members with experience using grinders and variable speed polishers; you will begin working on project preparation (removing steps, fenders, etc.) and sanding of our work pieces, learning to cut and finish metal as a polisher. As you learn the skills and techniques of our work, you’ll have the opportunity to move to piecework compensation starting at $30/hr; if you finish a one-hour piece in less than an hour (to our quality standards) you will be paid for the full hour. **Duties**
- Removal of work pieces from larger projects (e.g., removal of steps from a semi-truck)
- Power sanding
- Power polishing
- Project re-assembly and finishing touches
- Shop cleanup and tool maintenance

**Physical Requirements**

Applicants must provide their own safety boots or shoes, and:

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be fit to use a respirator.
- Must have experience working with power tools including sanders, grinders, and/or polishers.
- Must be comfortable working from ladders or scaffolding.
- Must be willing to get dirty Metal work generates lots of dust.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Commission, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
