Production Coordinator

Adjust production schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or unforeseen circumstances.

Work closely with production department to optimize plant efficiencies through strategic scheduling of product lines and is liaison between demand planning, procurement, and the plant.

Work closely with the Operations team to ensure that staffing levels, equipment, and resources are aligned with production schedules.
- Coordinates input from cross-functional areas (operations, Logistics, Customer Service, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing) to assist in forecasting of production requirements and to achieve customer service levels (KPI)
- Plans inventory to determine appropriate levels, may be necessary to take corrective action when inventory position is long or short
- Assist operations management, sales, and marketing to mitigate risks around undesired long/short inventory positions by looking at the disposal of long inventory into the most appropriate channels and providing information on length of inventory shortages and root causes.
- Assist with new product launches to ensure product is viable from an inventory management perspective.

Experience: - production planning: 5 years ( food industry experience preferred) - Inventory control: 2-3 year (food industry experience preferred).

Production Scheduling, Supply Chain and/or Forecasting experience.

**Production Coordinator Responsibilities**:

- Creating and maintaining schedules.
- Using workers and resources in the most effective manner.
- Providing quick responses to production issues.
- Identifying problems and helping improve processes.
- Using software to generate reports and schedules.
- Ensuring that company deadlines are met.

**Production Coordinator Requirements**:

- Associate’s degree in management, bachelor’s may be preferred.
- Experience in food industry production will be preferred.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with computers.
- Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.
- A desire to promote the success of the organization and production the production team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
