Flynn Group of Companies is currently looking for a Glazing and Architectural Metals Drafting Technician to support our Winnipeg Branch.

**A Day in the Life**:

- Design and draft detailed drawings for architectural approval, shop fabrication & field installations
- Create custom designs as required for architectural approval
- Provide complete fabrication drawings and bills of materials for each job
- Utilize all forms of architectural metals and/or curtain wall that Flynn offers to its customers
- Provide technical support on projects
- Review and verify all CAD work conform to applicable codes, standards, specification and project requirements
- Collaborate with project manager and engineer to develop scope, schedule and outline technical clarifications/exceptions as necessary
- Review drawing submissions for accuracy
- Provides staff support and technical guidance for projects as required

**What you bring**:

- Minimum 2-5 years direct industry experience in (ICI) Construction required
- Experience in design / drafting of glazing systems, curtainwall or architectural metals req’d
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid construction knowledge base with emphasis on Building Envelope Design
- Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong PC skills in MS Office
- Must be organized and self-motivated
- Strong mathematical skills are an asset
