**Job Summary - Class 1 Driver (Local/City Routes)**

Class 1 Drivers will also be expected to perform basic vehicle inspections and ensure full compliance with transportation regulations.

**Duties**
- Operate **Class 1 commercial vehicle** for scheduled local/city deliveries.
- Conduct **pre-trip and post-trip inspections** to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight (forklift or pallet jack operation may be required).
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, routes, and delivery information.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any route issues.
- Follow all **traffic laws and company safety procedures**.
- Perform basic maintenance or report mechanical issues as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Valid **Class 1 Driver’s License** with **Air Brake Endorsement** (required).
- Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles or heavy equipment preferred.
- Understanding of freight handling and transportation safety procedures.
- Forklift certification is an asset but not required.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet delivery deadlines.
- Must be able to pass a **background check** and **drug screening**.
- Dependable and flexible, with a strong work ethic.
- Willing to work flexible daytime hours (_no overnight/long-haul trips_).

**Schedule**
- **Full-Time**: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
- **Off**: Thursdays
- **Hours**: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM (_may vary depending on delivery volume_)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
