We invite you to join our team at Strategic Group, Calgary, as a Real Estate Investment Analyst. In this capacity, you will play a pivotal role in operational and financial reporting, engage in the acquisition and disposition of assets, aid in asset valuations, and carry out comprehensive market research. Collaborating with the Director of Real Estate Investments, your focus will be on crafting strategic deal recommendations, developing insightful pro formas, and conducting extensive market research. Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Prepare and analyze operational data to drive decision-making.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with various teams such as accounting, asset management, investment, development, leasing, and property management for data collection.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in analyzing financial results and organize them for both internal and external reporting.
- Property Tax Optimization: Track and assist in optimizing property tax savings.
- Transaction Assistance: Provide support for acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and other transactions.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
- Market Research & Pro Formas: Prepare development Pro Formas and conduct market research for potential developments.

Job Requirements
- Education: University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Real Estate (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience: At least 1 year of related experience or a relevant work-term in a financial/investment institution, real estate firm, development, or construction firm.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple demands, competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and constant changes.
- Initiative & Independence: Ability to use initiative and self-managing skills to work independently with mínimal direction and respond effectively to issues that arise.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret relevant transactional and financial statements and information.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail.
- Critical Thinking: Extraordinary critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written.
