**The Position**:
Leads a team responsible for pricing strategies, and the development and execution of optimal reimbursement by public and private payers, in alignment with ICPs (Integrated Customer Plans).
**Responsibilities**:
- Development, implementation, and monitoring of health economics & outcomes research plans:
- Leads the preparation of materials required for effective communication of data generated from Health Economic & Outcomes studies to the internal and external stakeholders, and for public and private pricing submissions toward reimbursement.
- Supports Regional Market Access functions with strategic and tactical perspectives ensuring alignment with national Access strategy.
- Manages assigned products/other priorities personally as required.
- Achieving Corporate requirements, development and execution of launch pricing strategies for all assets.
- Working closely across Market Access functions and other teams as required, management of policy analysis to develop and advance Boehringer Ingelheim Canada's national health policy agenda.
- Participation on local and international multi-disciplinary project teams related to health economics & outcomes research as required.
- People Development and Performance Management: Builds, leads and mentors a high performing HEOR team. Provides clear vision and strategic direction to the team in alignment with the Boehringer Ingelheim Canada and Market Access vision and priorities.
- Ensures leadership, direction, coaching/training and change management with direct reports. Supports the team to create effective knowledge transfer, sharing of best practices and collaboration between all team members.
- Coaches and develops the team with a focus on accountability, innovation, learning and agility. Acts as an agent of change within the broader organization to support a culture of performance and accountability.
This position is based in the Burlington, Ontario office located at 5180 South Service Road and is **flexible.**
Employees in flexible roles are required to be at the office a minimum of 50% of the time each month and must report to the office when requested and required by their Manager/Department.
**Requirements**:
- Advanced degree (e.g., Doctorate or Master’s), in a relevant discipline (health economics, medicine, public health, epidemiology, or allied discipline) preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years experience in health economics & outcomes research role.
- Critical managerial, coaching, leadership skills supporting development of team members to do their best work.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical market, market access, payers and advocacy groups.
- Solid understanding of clinical development and commercialization processes across Therapeutic Areas.French language skills are an asset.
