Searcy trucking Ltd North America premier deck hauling specialists have an opening in our Winnipeg faculty for a Yard and Equipment Associate. The Yard and Equipment Associate is responsible for the day to day maintenance of the Winnipeg terminal, including buildings, lands and equipment set up with an emphasis on safety.

Shift: Monday-Thursday 0600-1700

Wage based on experience.

Training available for those who qualify.

**Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities**
- Day to day upkeep of yard and facilities including; lawnmowing, trimming, snow removal, pressure washing, sweeping, garbage emptying, etc.
- Opening facility in the morning, closing at end of shift.
- Oversee on-site contractor contact (Includes coordination of site visits during office hours, evenings, and weekends).
- Distribute truck equipment and ensure all trucks are fully equipped for each Driver.
- Order/Replace inventory as required for all buildings.
- Direct traffic to ensure trucks are in required loading/unloading areas.
- Keep records of company vehicle usage.
- Assist in monthly inspections of yard, warehousing facilities, fire extinguishers, alarms, fuel tanks, etc.
- Assist Drivers with proper load securement procedures.
- Assist in special projects when required, may include after-hour duties.
- Involvement in the Workplace Health and Safety Committee Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications.
- Other duties as assigned by Building Maintenance Manager.

**Qualifications/Skills**
- Valid Class 5
- Class 1A license an asset, but not required.
- Experience with load securement considered an asset
- Progressive knowledge of the transportation Industry an asset
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven record keeping abilities
- Adaptable, creative and innovative
- Basic repair/handy-person skills
- PC skills - Windows, MS Office Suite
