**RESPONSIBILITES**
- Analyze drawings and specifications
- Understand contractual terms and conditions
- Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for Stipulated Price, Design-Build and Construction/Project Management formatted projects
- Provide clear detailed quantity take-offs
- Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labour costing.
- Organize sub-contractors’ quotations, provide contractors as much information needed to ensure quotes meet contract documents and project require scope of work
- Formulate cost break down from estimates and for project progress.
- Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
- Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and clients to build company clientele for future projects
- Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
- Maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing, and project costs, for future reference
- Review design options and recommend the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials
- Consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors and continuously update unit costs, labour rates, productivity factors and location impacts
- Manage and coordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- A University Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Architectural Technician/Technology, Construction Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience is an asset
- Minimum 2 years of experience in estimating construction projects in the value of $10M+
- Knowledge of estimating software, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office with an aptitude for adopting new technology
- Strong knowledge when it comes to understanding cost/sq ft per project, conducting detailed project take-offs
- Have a detailed and comprehensive knowledge of construction and construction methods
- In-depth knowledge of project management
- Ability to use AutoCAD, Revit and/or 3D Max is an asset
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects
- Ability to handle multiple assignments at once (Ability to multi-task)
- Knowledge of the latest building codes
- Close attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
