**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects.
- Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create precise estimates and manage project data.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to discuss project scope, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Conduct market research to determine current pricing for materials, labor, and equipment needed for projects.
- Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible rates for materials and services.
- Prepare detailed reports that outline estimated costs, including labor, materials, overhead, and profit margins.
- Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to estimated costs.
- Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines as part of the overall project management process.

**Skills**
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost estimation.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors to achieve favorable pricing.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience in project management is a plus, enabling better coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
