**Overview**:

- Spend your days helping guests improve their on-snow skills and confidence. Our Snow School Instructors are responsible for the delivery of the on-snow instructional product. Wages are very industry competitive as are duties and lesson assignments, schedules vary based on demand. This role will allow you to work when the resort is busy and the freedom to ski/ride other resorts during our slow time. Our small team can provide you with opportunities you might not have in larger snow schools. Join our team for a season of incredible terrain and snow, train with our snow school to further your skills.

**What We Offer You**:

- Opportunity for coaching and development of your skills
- Wages: Rate is dependent on certifications and experience
- Private request commission
- Work week varies depending on seasonal/weekly demand
- Reciprocals to experience other resorts

**Responsibilities**:

- Checking in/out with supervisors
- Understanding and delivering the snow school on-snow product
- Assisting in operational support of resort operations as required
- Continually improving own technical skills to better serve guests
- Arriving in a timely manner for your daily lesson, ready to teach
- Conducting safe, fun and technical lessons to all ages and abilities
- Managing splits in ability levels and a variety of group dynamics
- Be polite, patient, understanding, and have a positive attitude
- Helping to create amazing guest experiences

**Qualifications**:

- Passion for the ski industry and culture
- A sense of teamwork and community
- Hold the following certifications: CSIA/CASI Level 1 or above (or international equivalent)
- Higher levels are considered an asset
- CAA AST 1 is considered an asset
- Additional certifications are considered an asset
- Available to work weekends and holidays

**Work Experience**
- Experience teaching in an alpine resort similar to Castle Mountain Resort an asset

**Where We Are**:

- Castle Mountain Resort is located at the end of Highway 774, near Pincher Creek, AB. This is a remote work location. More information on our location and our resort can be found at skicastle.ca

**Employment Level**:
Part-time

**Work Conditions**:

- Strong skiing/snowboarding ability
- Physically fit and able to instruct in a variety of weather conditions
- Comfortable interacting with guests of different ages in a variety of instructing situations
- There is no staff accommodation available for part-time or casual staff.

**Eligibility Statement**:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Ability to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
