Homes by Avi Group of Companies is seeking a creative, motivated, and highly organized individual to join our team as an Interior Design Consultant. Homes by Avi has been building family homes since 1978, with home building divisions in Calgary, Edmonton, and Austin, Texas.

**Interior Design Consultant**

You will work directly under the leadership of the Avi Definitions Manager to assist customers by creatively inspiring them, first by understanding their needs and then guiding them through the selections process, and processing these selections through clear and accurate corresponding paperwork.

You are an articulate communicator in both your written and verbal correspondence, equally professional and detailed.

**What You Will Do**:

- Guiding homeowners through the selection centre process by balancing the customer’s budget while providing all possible options, including sourcing unique customer requests.
- Educating clients with your extensive knowledge and expertise of all products offered through the selection centre.
- Choosing interior selections for unsold spec homes within set budgets and timelines, appealing to buyers by community.
- Conduct presale tours & complete pricing requests for customers considering Homes by Avi as their builder of choice.
- Customer file management including answering site/trade questions, processing change orders and product reselections, as required.
- Supporting the sales team by accurately quoting point of sale estimates.
- Completing accurate documentation and corresponding details on all client files.
- Continuously maintaining an up to date knowledge of design trends and technologies.

**Your Qualifications - The Must Have’s**
- Interior Design Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated creative ability
- Accurate sketching and drawing ability
- Proven sales skills
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Blueprint reading
- Product knowledge
- Solid communication, interpersonal skills and initiative
- Excellent attention to detail, time management skills and organizational abilities
- Able to participate in shift work rotation schedule (2 evening shifts 11am to 8pm, and Saturday rotation)

- Experience working directly in the residential construction industry
