**The opportunity**:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Registrations, Wellington-Altus Private Wealth has an opportunity for a Compliance Summer Student to join our Compliance Registrations team. The Compliance Summer Student will provide administrative support and will be exposed to the compliance framework, reporting, data validation, and special projects. This is a great opportunity for a student wanting hands-on experience working in the wealth management industry with a focus on risk management, regulatory changes, and implementation.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Assisting with monitoring and answering compliance registration inbox inquiries.
- Maintaining internal folders and prepare necessary documents as required.
- Working closely with the securities commission and conduct follow-ups.
- Assisting with data collection and analysis.
- Creating data metrics and visualizations to present data in an interpretable format to identify patterns and opportunities.
- Inputting data into internal databases and perform reconciliation tasks as assigned.
- Participating and collaborating with the Compliance Registration team on special projects and internal initiatives.
- Supporting the team with ad-hoc research requests and project-based tasks.
- Contributing to the planning, process development, and execution of project activities.
- Current enrollment at a post-secondary institution as a first or second-year student, available for full-time work over the summer.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Dependability, integrity, competence, and a strong work ethic.
- A detail-oriented approach with emphasis on a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Effective interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- An ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.

**Conditions of employment**:
