Director of Curriculum Development

**Role Description**:
The Director, Innovation will oversee the development, operations and quality of all projects undergoing development within the Innovation Department. This may include, but not limited to, contests, after-school k-12 classes/programs, internal or external teacher training, online learning apps, published materials, internal and external k-12 curriculum, within the topics of Math, English or Technology. This role is located at our Head Quarters in Toronto and is an in office role.

**Authorities**:The Director, Innovation has the following authorities**:
a. Upholding all requirements related to facility and safety maintenance of the Innovation classrooms
b. Monitor and approve the purchasing and costs of all Innovation class supplies
c. Hiring, managing, appraising, coaching, and deselecting all roles reporting to this role
d. Provide content and personnel feedback for all Innovation programs and products
e. Plan and conduct training sessions regarding new operational processes for all products/programs in the Innovation Department
f. Approve budget spending for Innovations Department
g. Review and approve all content created by Innovations Department.
**Responsibilities**:The Director, Innovation has the following responsibilities**:
a. Work with the Director, CEO’s Office to determine the strategic goals of the department and which projects will continue to be developed and implemented.
b. Ensuring the projects are completed on time and accurately managed and coming up with the plan for completion while maintaining brand standards.
c. Participate in executive team level discussions and decision making related to overall strategy and development.
d. Responsible for the budgeting process and approvals for the innovations department.
e. Ensure and maintain brand consistency and quality of everything that exits (content for classes, PNP, programs, operations manuals, aps and software, teacher training, drills ap, contests) or is ongoing testing from Innovations Department
f. Provide feedback and suggestions for teaching and content improvement for Innovations content.
g. Researching and working collaboratively to identify potential improvements to all programs/products content and delivery
h. Creating, conducting and/or analysis of results from all Innovation Department surveys
i. Creating all calendars/schedules required for the testing, implementation and/or launch of any Innovation Classes
j. Overseeing the online systems for registration of all projects within Innovation Department
k. Organizing, planning, and running training and information sessions related to all operational and educational processes for Innovation Classes or programs
l. Overseeing fulfilment to ensure all materials for distribution are properly updated online and available to order for all owned projects, programs and/or products
m. Creating and/or reviewing marketing communication content regarding Innovation classes and programs, as necessary
n. Running professional development sessions for Innovation Department team members o. Substitute teaching as needed
p. Other tasks as required
