AEM is looking for a highly motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist. This positions’ primary responsibility is to ensure that the company receives payment for services and goods sold to its clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Full cycle Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Sales Tax experience
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Process customer deposits with banking institutions.
- Work directly with customers to process credit card payments.
- Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
- Sends correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing customer history, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
- Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
- Research customer discrepancies, past-due amounts, and reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least bi-weekly) basis.
- Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
- Assists Revenue Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
- Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
- Assist with yearly external audit
- Proven problem-solving experience partnering cross-functionally with Accounting, Customer service, Sales, and Operations

**Job Qualifications**:

- Associate's degree in Accounting; Bachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferred.
- At least five years of related experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, Experience with NetSuite and Avalara.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier/scanner.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

**Additional Information**:

- This is a remote opportunity that can be done from anywhere in the continental United States and/or Canada
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. or Canada without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.

US Compensation Range: $45,000-$70,000 USD / year

Canadian Compensation Range: $52,000-$65,000 CAD / year
