We respect and honour people's stories as they share their experiences, perspectives, and beliefs in the direction we are taking as an organization; we view this as a strengths-based process, where we build upon the multitude and diversity of existing strengths. **Prince George** **Native Friendship Centre** - "We are a dynamic and compassionate team facilitating individual, family, and community growth, well-being and mutual understanding through the "power of friendship"._ **Are you a strong and positive role model?** **Do you want to make a difference in our community?** Come join our team as a: **Front-Line Support Worker** **(Full Time/ Part-Time and Casual Day, Afternoon and Night Positions)** **Elder's Place Supportive Housing** **SCOPE OF POSITION** - Provide excellent one-on-one support and caring for Elder's; - Maintaining a safe healthy environment; - Developing and maintain plans of care for all clients; - Maintaining linkages with other PGNFC Services and applicable community resources; - Coordinating the delivery of services; - Ensuring culturally safe and community integrated services are implemented; - Implementing data collection/reporting and other evaluative systems to ensure performance through the best practices approach; and - Communicating and coordinating with other programs locally as required. **QUALIFICATIONS** - Grade 12; - Certification: First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (NVCI, CPI) Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe; or the **willingness to obtain after hire;**: - Valid Driver's License - Class 4 required, or willing to attain prior to expiration of probationary; - Basic computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills; - Strong knowledge of the Indigenous culture; - Clear criminal record; - Knowledge of Trauma -Informed practice; and - Compassion and Patience. **Prince George Native Friendship Center** Prince George, BC V2L 3G6
