Full Time - 1.0 FTE

**Duties**to** commence**: August 27, 2025 to June 29, 2026

**Qualifications & Duties**:

- Committed to being a model and witness to Christ-centered education values and beliefs.
- Possess a Bachelor of Education and valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- College Certificate in Catholic Education is considered an asset.
- Major or Minor in Physical Education.
- Experience in a Division 2 setting is considered an asset.
- Training and experience teaching hockey is preferred.
- Skill and experience working with other coaches is an asset.
- Skilled at and excited to work with students from Grades 4-9 in large and small groupings.
- Close communication with the Sports Academy Administrator and Sports Academy staff, other coaches, parents, and teachers in Academy schools is required.
- Energetic and passionate about promoting and implementing this program.
- Experience working with children who have diverse learning needs and who require specialized accommodations and strategies to support those needs.
- Experience in using specific proactive strategies such as visual supports, sensory supports, and positive behavior support and communication strategies.
- Experience with the implementation of Individual Program Plans (IPP's).
- Good interpersonal skills working closely with families.
- Strong focus on literacy and numeracy.
- Experience/Interest in using various technology tools to assist learning (e.g. SmartBoards and iPads).
